I was recently given the wrong prescription at my pharmacy. They gave me Anapranil 50mg (an anti-depressant) instead of Clomid 50mg (A fertility drug). The generic names are very similar and the technician entered the prescription wrong/Pharmacist didn't catch it. I took my first dose without knowing this the other day and I had a very bad reaction when driving. (Closing of the throat, prefuse sweating, muscle rigidity, shaking etc.) It was very scary. Have these side effects happened to anyone?

these same side-effects can happen to those are supposed to take the drug! Scary isn't it. That's why they are prescription.

Alas what happened to you is one of the more common mistakes made by pharmacists. Both are 50 mg. Both are once a day. Both are written using the (very similar looking) generic name by doctors with frequently bad penmanship.

Clomiphene is usually given only 5 or occasionally 6 days out of the month. But sometimes it is given every day as well.
