Give them to a friend or throw them away!
I recently quit, but I had to wait until I finished the pack. It's very hard to throw away good cigarettes.
However, don't get yourself into a legal bind just because of 6 packs of cigarettes. It's not just the sale to minors that you have to worry about. There also may be legal issues with the taxes involved in the sale, possible tampering, etc.
This may all sound silly... after all, it's just a garage sale, right?
I'd recommend giving them to a friend or throwing them away.
BTW, congrats on quitting.

Tobacco is a drug! It is illegal to sell any tobacco product without a tax stamp. Just as stores can't take promotional packs (2 For 1) and split them up for resale you can not take singles from a pack or carton and resale. To give away is another story, but that wasn't the point....was it?

if people see that your friend is selling cigs at a garage sale, it will look cheap and dirty. just throw them away! its a small price to pay but its a lot cheaper and a lot better lifestyle knowing that you will never have to purchase another carton again!

I think you can resell them because little stores go to Sams and places to get them and resell them. Just be sure you don't sell to kids. I know you can't resell them if you bought them on a military base, but the dollar stores have them as cheap as the PX does.

YES. Don't sell them, and if you are smart enough to realize that it is killing you, do others a favor and don't contribute to their smoking. Instead of giving them cigarettes, give them the knowledge that they are capable of quiting too, and help them. Throw those death sticks OUT!
