Absolutely not. As well as Bulgaria. There is still too much corruption and not enough respect for human rights. I also believe that Poland was taken too early into EU, as well as Greece and Portugal which are economical burden to EU. At least there is some improvement in Greece while Portugal stays bottomless pit where millions of EU taxpayers money got lost in local bureaucracy and corruption. So, my answer is no, not until 2009 under condition that Romania makes more progress in several economical areas.

I think no one should participate in the EU. It is an organization that has too many faults and gives power to the wrong people. They might as well not be a union, just all become one country if they are going to make the laws they have.
