There has actually been a lot of discussion of this on the internet but most of the rumors have been shot down pretty quickly and harshly. Patrick Stewart had mentioned that he would like to do another ST:NG movie, but when questioned executives at Paramount had said there was nothing even being considered. I think, even though it continues to be probably the most franchise in syndication and is the backbone of at least two cable networks (G4 and Spike), new product will probably be in dormancy for several more years at least. There are a few operations that are creating semi-bootleg episodes, although one of them actually had Walter Koenig in one of their episodes.

Supposedly the next one is still in the planning stages
They are saying it will be out sometime in the next 2-3 years
