That's totally normal. I had one this early with my last pregnancy and all you could see were the sacs. I wouldn't worry too much, it's normal to stress until you actually see your baby, but try not to let it get to you. I'm the same as you and I have an ultrasound tomorrow to look for complications as well, all I anticipate seeing is what you saw. I'll let you know tomorrow if they see anything different, but I really am not holding my breath :) Wait your ten days and you'll something truly amazing! It's awesome how fast these little ones grow! Good luck to you :)

Don't worry honey, sure everything is fine. If the dr didn't seem too concern, neither should you. I'm just surprised that he's making you go in just 10 days, I think it should be longer...not all babies are the same and not all heartbeats can be seen or heard as such an early stage....I had a transvaginal scan at 9 wks, and we were able to see and listen the heartbeat, but I had 4,5 more weeks than you do now. So be patient and see what happens in 10 days. Have faith.

I had my first scan at 9 weeks...they also saw a sac...but no hearbeat or baby in it..it was called a blighted ovum. I had 2 choices...1 was wait for a miscarriage...the other was to have a d&c to have it removed...I opted for a d&c to get over with quickly. On my second pregnancy I had a scan at 5-1/2 weeks...Icould see the sac and a beating heart. Hopefully when you go back they were just wrong with the dates , and it will be fine

It's definitely too early to really see anything at all. I had a scan at 5 weeks and they too didn't see anything. I went back 2 weeks later and there was our little heart beat! It's a REALLY scary time. Just try and remain calm (I know it is HARD) until the next scan. Most heart beats don't start until 6-7 weeks.

Yeah, I had one done at 5 weeks and you couldn't see anything but the sac. That had me scared, too, but it was just early! I went back in two weeks later and saw the heartbeat. She's kicking now... I'm 21 weeks. You'll be fine!

I wouldn't worry. To put your mind at ease as to where the baby should be developmentally right now and throughout your pregnancy, I'd invest in a book that tells you week by week what is going on. Also, on the site about.com, there's a weekly thing you can check in and see where you are. You start it with week one based on your last mentral period. It's pretty cool. I remember when I was at 5 weeks they told me not much could be seen, but the blood work showed I was preg. No worries.

The first thing i did was register at this website called babycenter.com all they ask is the day u conceived and from then they keep sending you week by week progress that should happen.but Remember each person is different so what you are experiencing the other might not at the given time.if your gyno says its okay than i guess nothings wrong.nowadays every detail you need is available online you dont need book or anything.Dont worry!! and All the best!!

New mother, new worry! You'll be fine. The baby looks like that after a few days. Go back and do an ultra sound in about a month or two! You'll be quite surprised!!

Yep, it's normal. I had early transvaginal ultrasounds (about the same time you did) with both of my boys. I went back a week later, and there were their tiny little hearts beating away! Don't worry--you'll be fine. :)

I think 5 /12 weeks is a little early to see the heartbeat. I got one at 9 weeks and could barely see it.
