Take the bus, you can buy a day pass on the bus. Then you can travel up and down the strip all day. I think its $10.

The first person who responded to your questions doesn't know what he is talking about. The Mirage has a big FREE parking garage behind the casino with easy access from Spring Mountain Road or the strip. Most of the casinos have easy access to a parking garage and they are free also. Some are more difficult to locate than others, and the garage at MGM is so big it's hard to find your car when you return. Try to valet park sometimes ... $1 to the guy when you drop the car off and $1 or $2 to the person who brings it back. If you do rent a car, try to avoid the strip and take the back streets ... like take the highway behind Mirage up to New York, New York, or go across at Spring Mountain Road and take Koval up the other side of the strip. It's easy to get around in a car and lots cheaper than taking a taxi. You can park anywhere and then walk to where you want to go too.
Have fun!

With a few exceptions, the parking at all the casinos is free. The part they don't tell you is that the parking lots can be a long way from the hotel. You might need to walk 15 minutes just to get to the casino. Some, like Orleans, are better than others. You may find it is just not worth the hassle to park. I have never rented a car and find walking, taxis, and the monorail enough to get me around without trouble and for much less cost than a car rental.

In my opinion, renting a car is a much better way to go when visiting LV. Every casino has free parking, most of the larger ones have nice parking structures.
The Mirage is a great location for checking out the northern end of the strip. If you want to visit other sections of the strip, pick a casino in the middle and drive and park once, walk around and check out the other casinos in the area. There is also the monorail on the east side of the strip, as well as a tram from the Monte Carlo to Bellagio.
Having a car also makes it possible to hit the outlet store, Hoover Dam, Ethel M Chocolate Factory, and any other sites you may want to check out when you get tired of the casinos.
Good luck!

Don't rent a car. That's a waist. Ride the Trollies. It's like a dollar a ride or $15 a day. Trollies come about every 15 min at most of the hotels. And they go up and down the strip all day. You'll save so much money that way, plus walking some is good to cause you can stop at where ever you want. I wouln't recomend renting a car. Nor taxi either. That's just me. If your staying at the mirage, treasure island next door has a pick up there. I stayed at TI and there is a walk way between the two hotels.

If you are staying at the Mirage, and planning on staying on the strip you won't need a car. You can walk or take the strip trolley. If you are planning to go off strip and rent a car, most casinos have free self parking. Have fun.

We went a few years ago and rented a car to go see the Grand Canyon and we found places to park pretty easily. We walked on the stripped and parked at the hotel but for most other places like old down town there were lots to park in and they didn't cost a lot. Just depends on where you go I guess.

Nearly all of the Casinos offer free parking.....Just follow their
signs as you enter for either valet or self park...Don't be afraid
of valet parking.....for the cost of only a tip at most of the casinos
you can drop off your car & let the valet park it and bring it back
to you !!! useful if you cannot find a spot right away or have to park it too far......

Valet parking is free in casinos. But you have to wait forever to get your car back. Don't ever plan to be in a out within an hour

the valet at the casinos is normally free, but if you're staying on the strip why not just stick with taxis or the new tram? why punish yourself inching along the boulevard in heavy traffic when you could sip on drink and relax and let someone else drive you?

ALL the casinos have valet parking and self-parking. Usually free. Tip the valet when you pick up the car.
