OK You know, I've actually thought a lot about this question. The love you're referring to is almost impossible to test. I mean, to me, the kind of love I want is the kind that he pushes me out of the way of a bus and gets hit himself trying to save me, or would rush into a burning building to help me. That kind of stuff. You can't create those situations, so I guess you won't ever really know. I think that's why some couples who have been through experiences like that are more closer than those who haven't They are more drawn together because they know they really truly love the other person or vice versa. When you say you love someone, to me, it means putting them above yourself in nearly every situation. There's probably couples who have been married for 40 yrs or something and wouldn't actually risk their lives to save the other. Then there's g/f's and b/f's who have been together for two months who would risk it for the other. I guess we just have to be secure and hope that they do, and not take one moment for granted.

well the person would show it by treating you like they love you. Treating meaning, caring for you, respecting you, enjoy your company.

If the person is young, it may not be real love but a crush or puppy love. They may say it and not act like it because they don't know what true love is.

What until after college to find true love!

By her actions. Anybody can say they love someone but only someone who loves you will treat you like they do. That and time.

It's not just enough to say that you love someone but you must back it up with action. That's how you know.

it's a gamble, the best way is if she is with you through the worst and best times, if she bolts when it is bad then she dosen't love you and if she lies to you to your face she ain't worth the trouble.

But, when you find the person that truly loves you don't let them go.

You dont have to ask thats for sure. when someone loves you , you feel it in your heart, and if its the love of your life you feel it to the depths of your soul. real love never comes with questions or doubt.
