There are four basic types of tissue in the body of all animals, including the human body and lower multicellular organisms such as insects. These compose all the organs, structures and other contents.
Epithelium - Tissues composed of layers of cells that cover organ surfaces such as surface of the skin and inner lining of digestive tract. The tissues serve for protection, secretion, and absorption.
Connective tissue - As the name suggests, connective tissue holds everything together. Blood is considered a connective tissue. These tissues contain extensive extracellular matrix.
Muscle tissue - Muscle cells contain contractile filaments that move past each other and change the size of the cell. Muscle tissue also is separated into three distinct categories: visceral or smooth muscle, which is found in the inner linings of organs; skeletal muscle, which is found attached to bone in order for mobility to take place; and cardiac muscle which is found in the heart.
Nervous tissue - Cells forming the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system.
Areolar connective tissue - A pliable, mesh-like tissue with a fluid matrix that funtions to cushion and protect body organs.

1-epithelial tissue. 2-connective tissue. 3-muscular tissue. 4-nervous tissue. this if you don't know the classification of tissues but you must find the functions your self as it is a very big issue.

There are six types
-1.EPITHELIAL TISSUE:lining in outer and inner side of the body. They are modified into 3 types-absorptive,ciliated and secretary
+absorptive epithelial tissue found in the intestinal lining, they helps to absorb food and nutrients.
+ciliated epithelial tissue is found in the nose, ears, intestine;it helps in movement of particles
+secretary helps in secretion of fluids or enzymes;differentiated as glands-exocrine (eg:mucous,tears=ducts)and endocrine(eg:hormones)
2.CONNETIVE TISSUE:eg:bone,blood,adipose tissue
They are mainly made up of protein fibres-2 types-collagen and elastin
3.NERVE TISSUE:made up of neuron, its function is communition between cells
4.GERM CELLS;eg:sperm and egg
5.MUSCLES TISSUE:-3 types-skeletal muscle(joint movement),smooth muscles(digestive tract and veins),cardiac muscle(heart)
6.SENSORY:eg:corn cells,rod cells,hair cells
