You don't have responsibilities,everything is simple.you do as you're told,you never have to question anything or anyone.You can be good,thinking isn't required,obedience is rewarded and no one asks you if you have any clue why you obey as long as you obey you're one of the good guy's.

you don't have to worry about elections - just get your brother or some computer guys to 'fix' them.
you get to hold people in prison indefinitely without worrying about rights; anyone who complains is easily labelled a traitor.
you get to torture people.
you get to give all sorts of perks to your friends and supporters, and let them get away with things that would be illegal otherwise.
you get to play war, attack whoever you want, and not be held accountable for war crimes.
you get minions to keep any opposition silent or discredited.
you get to lie all the time.
