I think people in general rush into sex these days, and not just young people - Newsweek did a report on "Sex and the Single Boomer" that explained why AIDS is rising among middle-aged people. Sex is a personal choice. You have the right to say no for months. I know how men pressure women, and it doesn't get any better in that respect as you get older, either. But you need to think about your value system - and everybody has one. If it's more important to please the guy you are with than to respect yourself, trust me - he will just use you, then go on to the next conquest. So I can't really answer that question for you. I would wait until the two of you were fairly serious about dating each other exclusively - then you don't have to worry about infidelity on top of everything else. Good luck.

I think the concept of being easy is a double standard. Just how difficult do you think a man truly IS?? You've so got it made because the ball's always in your court. He's just gotta wonder how long it's gonna take. So what if it was that soon! If he boasts, just turn it around on him saying that not only was he even easier, but that he was no bigger than your toothbrush.

If you're asking this about how guys will think of you (I do not know about girls) then it is true that if you put out too early guys will value you a bit less.
It isn't so much how many dates, though, as much as the perceived intentions of your sexual encounters. See, if it looks like your just using sex as a way to hopefully bring you closer to a guy, then your basically announcing that you do not have the required social abilities to lure a guy in any other way. If you're treating sex like sex, and not some mouse-trap, guys usually wont have anything bad to say about you putting out...

hahahaha vending machine = date, wow.
honestly, i'd say do it when it feels right, i have had flings quick sex and had a great relationship... and ive dated for weeks/months and finally had sex and realized how terrible we were together.. lol so i'd definately say go for it when it feels right.
Being a good judge of character is key though cuz some guys do just want the conquer of an easy lay

Ha ha ha. men are easy to deceive and at 35 i am sure you know the trick. Keep them at an arms lenghth and never give in to them easily. Its not the question of 3rd date or 4th date, its more of the excitement you generate for him.

HEY!!! Just what is wrong with being easy?? Until I met Diane and settled down I was probably worse than you are. She was the same way too. Consider it all just practice for the "big game".
Haven't you heard the phrase "practice makes perfect"? Darlin',there is nothing wrong with wanting to be the best(at least the best in your part of the country) Di and I have the upper midwest spoken for ....LOL

Hold out either two months or 10 dates, which ever one is longer. 3rd date, definitely means you are easier, but not easy.
