My girlfriend is latina and I am white. I never treated my girlfriend with anything but love and respect. Her sister in law is constanly trying to talk bad about me and my race. She always calls me the two-face gringo when I go to her house. I know all women do this kind of stuff to an extent but It seems that Latina women hate it when a latina dates a white guy...they just can't handle it..why is this? Are latina women told lies about white men growing up?
I wouldn't ask this question but this is the third latina I'm dating and it is always the same song and dance

It's cultural tradition to marry wit in our own people. Our traditions and family values are very different from "white" (as you put it). For example, after 18yrs of age, you're parents probably expected you to be independent. A Hispanic woman is not "independent" until her father says and it's usually on her wedding day. Why you getting dirty looks?....... are you adapting to your Latin girl's customs or are you influencing her with yours? If you're trying to adapt to hers, you'd be better accepted. If you're trying to take her away from her cultural mindset, you're going to be treated coldly.

I am really surprised by the reactions of these Latina women. If I were dating you my family would be extremely happy and they would probably push me into marrying you, because your white and I would be "bettering our race!" In reality it just comes down to how the family was raised and also their experiences with white people.

hispanic women are generally influenced by their parents to be with hispanic men. It is just out of the norm that she's with you when you are white. The will eventually get over it.
