Now I love horror movies, I really love the old dirt cheap b films. . . but none of them have been really scary. I want to finally watch a scary movie and be competely terrified. By the way, first The Exorcist was sh** as far as me being scared. So somebody, anybody have any suggestions?

i wish i had an answer but i have yet to see a movie that truely scares me and has me turning on the lights. i mean some scenes make me jump but thats kinda normal. i have yet to be terrified atleast not as an adult. as a kid jaws kept me from going into lakes for a bit. but i think i was around 7. as an adult nothing has come close to scaring me so im looking at the answers trying to find that one movie that will leave me screaming or wetting myself.

"Alien" the first one was a fantastically scary sci-fi / horror film! You never knew what was coming!
"Ju-On" which is the original movie that "The GRUDGE" was based on is also super scary!

There is an independent production company called Full Moon that has made and still is producing really scary stuff . You can see what they have at their web site at

http://www.fullmoondirect.com/

Try all the "Hell Raiser" Movies also. Clive Barker is really a mind messer of a writer!

Hope these suggestions are helpful :)

I watch this new scary movie . But it was a remake. Get the movie The omen. My boyfriend watched it when it first was in the movies. It was really scary and My boyfriend and I are hard to scare . We're big horror movies freaks. Trust me this will scare you.

What about THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN? My cousin was the not scary type but when she saw this one, it shook her. I think it came out around the mid 70's.

yeah, not a horror, but I concur with thick madame I spit on your grave. More for the men to be terrified.

What's your phobia? I mean like if spiders, stuff like:
Arachnophobia - w/John Goodman
Eight Legged Freaks

Well, Quality wise, The Shining IS the movie to see.

But White Noise Scared the **** out of me... And the Exorcist didn't.

Nightmare on elm street scared me too.

See the original Halloween. Not the remakes and all the other junk! But the original. Or even the very first Alien or the first Jaws If you haven't seen them they are scary.

I used to work in a video shop many years ago, there was one film called,
"Extro", quite scary in the early 80's, may have to go to a rental shop which
has been trading for years to hire it.
Good Luck!

The Omen- freaky. I had nightmares just watching the previews
Lady in the Water- sounds cheesy but it had the same affect on me as the Omen.
