I have pretty subborn acne, i've tried otc. when that didn' t work i went to the doc. i got a script for benzoclin, when that didn't work they added a oral antibiotic. that didn't work - so i went to a dermo, he put me on a benzol perioxide wash, a different oral antibiotic and a foam called evoclin. that didn't work - now he wants to try "accutane" i don't want to try accutane due to the list of side affects. can anyone suggest something?? what has worked for you?? btw i dont have nodular acne, its just stubborn

I was also on evoclin, differrin, antibiotics, creams, everything and anything you could imagine. I did find that Proactive worked very well for me. I was also on Accutane for 3 months but the side effects were terrible I had to get off of it. I've started to drink a tea called "Daily Detox Tea" and take Vitamin B and my acne is getting alot better. Also I have been using a soap and cream called Panoxyl. You can actually by it at any drug store. Thats the only thing Ive bought over the counter that has helped alot. Hope this helps.

Try Mary Kay acne gel, my son uses it 3 times a day, and it works great. Keeps it gone. Its cheap and youll be glad you tried it. Plus, it doesnt dry you out like so many of the treatments do.

If that doesnt work for you, I would try the accutane. Ive had friends that went on it, and it worked great.

Try taking fiber supplements. Some old hippie told me that years ago and I thought "whatever!" but tried it anyway and I'm not kidding it worked! You can try detoxing through colonics (if your brave) and eating fiber rich foods. But if your lazy like me, go buy some metamucil or another psyllium husk product and just be diligent in taking it.

I use ProActive and it is wonderful. It cleared up my skin in about two weeks! You can get it on-line or I'm sure you've probably seen their infomercials. It really does work!
