Im involved with a man of a different race.My parents dislike him,because of his race.How do i change how they feel about him.I love him and want to marry him and have a family with him.I was married before to a white guy whom they loved even knowing how bad he treated me.My boyfriend now makes me so happy and treats me well.I truly believe he is my soulmate.

my soulmate when we met brought new meaning to my life.He made me see that not all men hit shove yell scream.He has thaught me love is soft and gentle,taught me that its ok to talk about the abuse.He is my best friend and that no matter what his arms is where im safe and loved.I just want my parents to love him as i love him.Why can they love and respect a man that abused me so bad that i lost a set of twins.

i guess what i dont understand is how can my parents who love me how can they be so blind.They still have contact with my ex husband.They asked me if i would ever give him a second chance.

Your family will probably never accept him and its really not necessary for them to accept them because they arent the one in the relationship. They only thing you can do is introduce your parents to him and let them know that your in love. Thats it. Live your life and be merry. life is too short to try to change others views.

When people get married, it's time to break the chains, and fly out of the nest, which you have obviously already done since you were married before. But your parents can't decide or have any influence over who YOU spend your life with. It's not like it's them sleeping with him or having kids by him. If they choose to not talk to you over it, then I'd just have to let it be that way. I doubt there's even much you can do to change their minds. Older people are very set in their ways. If they continue speaking with you, then I'd just let them know every chance you got how happy he makes you. But at some point, your man may feel kind of alienated because you are speaking with them and feel like you aren't taking his side at all. I think it may be best to not speak to them until after they accept him. I mean, what happens when you have children by him? Will they accept the kids and still not him. How would that feel to him as a father? Or maybe they won't even accept your children into their lives. I think if it comes to that, where they don't accept your kids either, then you really should quit talking to them.

Unfortunately, race will be an issue with lots of people who have no business even worrying about it. You have to be strong and sure of your choices of who you love and marry. You have to love and live with your husband, not your parents or friends. Providing you're old and mature enough to make this decision, it should be totally up to you.
Don't rush into marriage because it's final and makes things even more complicated. Take some time to get to know each other more and see how other people in your environment react to you. Be safe and happy.

U are sense of hope to other women in this male gender biased society! hats off!! One common thing all human have is to follow the set of rules set by the society irrespective whether its correct or wrong, scientific or unscientific? I and u are also bound to this morale. When it comes to ur individual life it is you who have to take a call on that! nobody will suffer for good or bad tomorrow! if u are happy with him and share good chemistry u marry him. Talk about how wonderful he is every chance you get. Bring him into contact with your parents a lot if you can help it. Bring him over for dinner, think of ways for them to bump into eachother. Eventually, they will thaw if they see you are really happy and they feel he has a good enough job and a stable track record to provide for you.

Love is something which you can not do it for others. It is always better marry a person who loves you rather than you love you. First do not live for others, and try to find out whether he loves you and if you are sure that he loves you they way you dream of then do not bother about others. Because you are the one going to live with him.

first off how sweet you to do sound like your mad for each opther anyways try showing your parent how much you to love each other instand of just telling them hes a good person show them let them now there is no other man for you just let them see how happy you are with each other even try showing them some goood that his race has done for this state make it your jod to not let them get to you and tell your boyfiend that if you to really want to get married just take it to god he handles it all trust me. you to sound so cute together

i know that your parents thoughts matter to you but really they should see past race and that their daughter is finally happy after all isn't that what every parent ultimately wants just try and enjoy your life dont let their blinkerd ways effect your happiness

You might convince your parents by just showing them how happy he makes you feel. You are their daughter they will love you no matter what you choose to do.
