Absolutely not. Even though some men say that 17 is legal. I know of situations that I've heard about where men still went to prison for messing with a 17 year old girl. All it takes is for the parents to find out or get mad and he's in trouble. I find it disturbing that some guys think that it's alright. I jus don't get what they are thinking. It is really a shame I think. I would pitch a bloody fit, if I had a daughter who was dating a grown man like that. It just isn't right in my book.

YES, in my opinion, I consider this to be ethically wrong... and illegal.
In Canada, I think a girl has to be 18 years old for sexual concent with a man over 30... Or something like that... It has been so long, and I never was a pedophile to begin with, so the issue never got raised.
But for the old guy dating a teenager: he's a pedophile and he's a sick puppy, scared of mature women.
For the teenager: I hope you realise this is just a temporary thing... Because if he's in his 30s and you're not even 18 years old, what do you think will happen when you reach 25? or 30? Think about it...
Cheers

Well, I'm not one to say anything about age, because I am the type of person who believes age is only a number; but when it comes to being under 18, then yes, I do believe that is wrong. Once she turns 18, then the decision to date someone that much older than her is her decision. Until then, that's actually considered statutory rape.

I think there's too much legal ... to get out there without having to go there. And, it's called statutory rape in most states.
It takes a very insecure man to have to subject this girl and himself to that.
If the law doesn't get him, a higher power will!

Do her parents know about this? This is very wrong he can be put in jail for this. It is statutory rape and he will also have to register as a child sexual predator.

That's statutory rape. It's against the law and a crime. Not right at all. He should be reported. You're right.
