I'm at a job where I have absolutely no motivation at all. I'm in the technology field where handling fixing and doing anything to computers is of my forte but where I work now all I do is move and set up workstations for people every once in a while. When i'm not doing that i'm sitting here bored with nothing to do and i'm the type of persono who needs to always be doing something otherwise I get bored. The money is good and the people are nice who I work with and plus i'm doing what I would like to do but not all the time. I need motivation and I need to always keep busy. Should I stay and work through it?

Having good pay, good co-workers and minimal work is a problem that most of the population would like to have. If you don't have anything to do then maybe volunteer for additional tasks at work or try to take courses online or towards some sort of certification or a degree. Many people I knew in computers and help desk used extra time to get their A+ certification or MCSE or DBA. Plus, your company may have employee improvement or training programs that would pay for your education in these areas.

Good pay and good co-workers is almost half the battle won. If you are ambitious or want to keep bust, take a part time professional course with an eye on your final ideal job.

If you are still interested in hardware installation, you could try applying to other MNCs, like Dell & HP under corporate services.

Use your extra time to your advantage. Maybe take some online courses. Or get to level 7 on yahoo answers.
