America is the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as a Democracy. We are a Nation of laws that the Constitution defines for our leaders, that Americans elect to the positions they serve.

It is merely a start-up plan, obsolete once the government got running. Restricting yourself to your original plan is foolish; the Constitution interpreted as law restricts flexibility and dealing with reality.

The Constitution is too vague to be law. It can mean anything, so it means nothing. The Supreme Court had no right to give itself control over legislation; that is, obviously, a legislative right. The Supreme Court breaks the law, which it must obey instead. Canceling laws is the same as the legislative right to repeal them; it is not a judicial right.

The Constitution is no more law than the Declaration of Independence is.

It is in the US. The problem is that many interpret the Constitution differently. Even Supreme Court Judges can't agree.

Of course it is valid. It is the highest law of the land. It embodies the standard by which we measure all other laws in this country.

It has been under attack, and we will now have to rely on our judges to uphold the constitution. So far, so good...and hopefully when they find things to be illegal (NSA wiretapping) the president will be held accountable for breaking the law.
