I am 5'7" I weigh 125 lbs. I am going to Vegas this weekend and I am trying to lose a few lbs and tone up a bit. Do you have any good ideas as to how I can do this? Possibly a healthy way.

Try the Special K diet for the week and exercise for exactly one hour everday with three 5 minute breaks in between that hour. It has worked for me. But also you should know that the first couple of pounds that you lose is always water weight.

You seem to be at a very healthy weight for your height. I probably shouldn't lose too much more. You should definetely check your BMI (Body Mass Index) percentage so see what a healthy weight is for you at your age/height. Many websites have a BMI calculator.( www.walgreens.com has one. Click on their health library and then calculators). If you are only looking to lose a few lbs., then I would definetily recommend cardio. Spend 20 minutes a day for about a week on the treadmill and that should do the job (along with healthy eating habits of course). If you are looking to tone your muscles, rather than making them bigger, I would suggest doing more exercise reps with less weight. If you have a lot of weight to lift, your muscles bulk up and that's probably not what you want. Muscle tissue weighs more than fat tissue. I just recently got married in June and I lost 30 lbs for my wedding...now weighing 125 also. I am 5'3". I tried all of those diet pills and none of them worked. What did the job was a 1500 calorie diet and cardio for 20 minutes a day/5 days per week for about 2.5 months. I feel very healthy and full of energy!!! Hope this helps! Good luck to you.

Wow, you want to lose a "few" pounds and be toned by this weekend? Well, I don’t want to sound mean, but, I feel sorry for your body! The only way of losing a “few” pounds would be to starve yourself. At least if what you want to lose is fat. You could take some diuretic pills to lose water, which will make you drop in weight, but it's not the same as losing fat. And if done incorrectly, in other words, you over do it, it can hurt you.

Doctors recommend that you should try to lose no more than two pounds per week...yeup, that's right...two pounds per week! And you want to lose a few? I know that you may want to look good for this weekend, but don't hurt your body in the process of acquiring beauty, because you end up losing sooner or later. Just look at how many people keep going up and down in body weight. They throw their metabolism into chaos by their drastic diets and then they wonder why they are gaining weight faster once they come off the diet, than before they went on it?

You can't lose a noticeable amount of fat and tone up in just a few days, but you can lose water weight. Stay away from carbs and salty food for the next few days. Also, drink water with lemon or a caffeinated drink as these are mild diuretics.

honey, if you are 5 '7'' and you weigh 125 you need to put on a few pounds, im sure you look just fine, but if you insist on loosing some before this weekend i recomend doing a juice fast or something like that, and if your going to be wearing a bathing suit, try not to eat before you swim, it will just make you look bloated.

cut down on your carbs and dairy intake....and no sugar.!! do some cardio at the gym...
