Ha, i had my radio on so loud
one evening that i did not hear
the sirens & almost hit a fire truck
broad side !!! Boy did i feel like
an fOOl !!!! And lots of fingers
pointed me way as the fire truck
drove off into the night!!
The caution finger not the birdie finger !!
Close call !!!!
Whew on that event !!
Never had an accident yet ...
and almost
made up for that after so many years
of driving safely by almost singing
my way into a fire truck !!!!

I've panicked alittle with fire trucks and ambulances. Especially if you let them pass and then begin to take the same way they are. You start to wonder...Are they going to my house? Is my house on fire?It almost a relief to see them veer off to another street.

I don't think the vehicles can hear them... The people in them, yes, because when I pass them while driving they always have their windows down.

Yes. I've heard it last night. Luckily, it was an ambulance who went down the street. I don't panic, unless it pulls into the parking lot. I live across a fire station.

I don't mind if they are after me ... if I have a faster vehicle, and, a open road!
