i just found a old book "jaws" which was due back to Ashford mx Library.. in 1975... Should i take it back and Pay the fine.. lol
(wonder how much the fine is)

Mail it back to them. Take your name off the card if it is in the book. Libraries in 1975 all used cards and not computers to track books. When they converted to computer, a lot of things were left out - like missing books.

Also most libraries have a maximum fine. The last library I worked at had a maximum overdue fine of $10 per item.

I've a book I had out from the library when I was 8, I'm now 23. I still feel guilty about it! I never even read the damn thing. Maybe I'll send it too :-)

Call the newspapers to get your picture in the papers and return with your check for approx $1450 @ 10¢ a day! No more guilt!

Well, the damn honest streak in me says take it back and pay the fine, but then the rest of me says just mail it back in. You can always buy a new book or donate money if you feel guilty.....

So, my Dad borrowed one from the Westminter Library from 1963! It's about Mythology.

Just return it and drop it in the IN box. They probably won't fine you. You might choose to donate another (new) book as compensation, if you feel guilty.

send thru mail delivery, without indicating your personal info if your not so keen on identifying yourself. sure they'll be glad to have it back.
