After you've torn your jacket and trousers, cut your hands and face and scraped the skin off your knees and elbows climbing the fence and then broken your ankle jumping down onto it you realise it wasn't so much greener after all.

When you see that the grass is greener on the otherside and venture there, it's not until you look back and see; where you had been standing was greener.

We see what others have and desire to have it too. As you go through life the grass should always be greener on the other side.
BTW...did you know that the grass is always greener over the septic tank ?

Actually i do'nt believe it is, but my wife and i had 3 pet lambs and they used to think it was. I would receive phone calls regularly saying they had escaped yet again, sometimes they would be in another field and on other occasions on the central reservation of a dual carriageway.

Because we're never satisfied with what we've got, we take things for granted, we never stop to smell the roses, it's our competitive nature to have more than what someone else has,
...that's why they call it the human race...were always striving to get somewhere and do more.

its all a matter of perception. yes, teh grass is always greener, but once we get there, we realise its just grass..it may be diffferent, but its essentially grass.
