I really have no idea. I wasn't around then. however isn't that considered part of the time frame that is associated with the renaisance? then I would say that singers and jesters were probably a staple in the entertainment world of that era.

Yes there was already theater and actors (more likely stage players) that where performing on markets and castles.

Minstrels.

Live theatre.

Drinking.

Wenching.

But then again, people had to work a lot harder than they do today, and didn't have nearly as much leisure time.
