No. You are a lucky woman that you have not been physically hurt. Anger management is real and very helpful. I have a hot temper & through anger management I have been able to find productive ways to channel my anger. You now have a child living in the home. Do you or him want your children raised thinking that this behavior is acceptable? Try this angle with him, but the bottom line is it has to stop.

Do you realize that your child can be taken away from you? Do you want to loose your child for a year while the case and investigation move through the juvenile court system? Thats how long it takes. It doesnt take much for a slamming door, or thrown object to hit a child...causing devastating injuries. STOP worrying about him..hes "always been this way" and ....he WILL always BE that way! Do you want to end up with injuries that leave you disabled? You need to leave. I am not joking... do you want to loose 10, 20 years of your life...or possibly die? Do you want to see your child hurt or killed? Ive been there!! It gets WORSE...more terrifying..more violent...and more frequent. They always come back... you go through the honeymoon phase...then you go back into hell again. Get out... please. Your child is two and is already afraid!

Trust him for the moment, give him a few more weeks to see how his behavior is changing.
If it doesn't change then he MUST get counseling, it's essential. If not, he could end up hurting you or your 2 year old child.
You have to remember, you're not the only one, if your child grows up seeing these outbursts he/she will end up doing the same thing as they get older. They will end up bullying, punching things, etc. Ask anyone... it's true.
If he refuses to get counseling after these weeks, then you need to take your child and leave. I know you love him but you have to ask yourself what is more important?
Your husband who cannot control and refuses to get help for his anger or your innocent child that deserves stability and a safe place to grow.

You cannot trust this man...I have a brother just like him...the anger escalates...if he has not already hit you he will....the whole cycle of temper tantrums and apologies is the same as my brother....these people have serious psychological issues...He is either in denial or he is afraid a therapist will identify his issues so therefore he refuses to see anyone......For the safty of your child and for your own safety I reccomend that you give him an ultimatum " see a therapist or the marriage is over" you and your child ought not be forced to live in fear.

well, I have the same problem, and my husband deals with my bad temper, sometimes the anger you can't help it, if you're not an angry person you wouldn't know. sometimes we don't want to yell or scream it's hard to control for people who has anger problem. but I think it's better not to push him about going to the anger management class, you should let him do it on his own.

He is bi polar and needs outside help. If he doesn't get it from either medication or both he will die of heart disease and you will have a child that grow up doing the same. You need to have him pull his head out of his *** and take responsibility for his own actions. If he doesn't divorce sounds like the next step. He has the problem.
