You people give Bush way too much credit. He is incapable of pulling the strings on his shoes let alone another person!

However, you are right in that the strings are being pulled by the Yanks. Come on now, you didn't expect them to spend all those billions of tax dollars to destroy the country to bits, get rid of those devil worshippers (um, I mean the Taliban) and then NOT install their own regime as the governing rulers?

Americans are generally regarded as stupid (and on the whole, they generally are), BUT, there are a minority in that country who are EXTREMELY clever/powerful and know how to manipulate the powers that be (ie. Haliburton...)

If you are an American reading this and you think that your tax dollars are going to waste in Iraq & Afganistan, stop moaning, you had your chance for a "regime change" in 2004...

without knowing the geographical & ethnic problems of Afghan. Karzai is one of the few known educated persons of Afghan. He is not ambitious to the top post of Afghan. He knows he will be assasinated at any moment of his life. What America & NATO did in Afghan now is to solve their own problem. The funds flow is not sufficent to ethnic leaders pocket. Corruption will not be easy to be eradicated. Gradually the young generations should be given priority to educate themselves. It will take another 2 decades if everything goes possitive for Afghan to stand on its own. But Pakistan never allow it to happen. SO PLEASE DON'T BLAME THE GENTLEMAN Karzai for nothing of his fault.

Bush is an idiot. We've sent billions to Africa as well as Iraq-what or who is getting this money? Obviously not the countries involved.
