I once worked at sh**hole where the supers used to run around proclaiming that there would be "mandatory" overtime.
We were never able to lacate any laws that would require an employee to comply with the "mandatory" overtime. We could only find laws regarding how an employer must compensate an employee for any hours over 40 in a work week.
All in all, it's sort of a mute point.
I live in Florida, no fault capital of the world, and your employer can fire you at any time for any reason that cannot be considered discriminatory.
I guess you work the hours that are "requested" or you find a new job.

Seasonal and agricultural do not by law need to pay overtime.

As long as you get paid time and a half,go for it. If not, go in person to Department of Labor - Wage and Hour Division and tell them about it.
