My microwave glass plate broke and I tried to buy one at Walmart and other places but I could not find the right one I needed, so I ended up buying one from the manufacturer which was pretty expensive, about $30.

Hi!
Try second hand shops, like Salvation Army or Value Village.
Just note the way the underside of your old one was made and try to find a similar one. You will need the same type of grooves or indentations to make your turntable work.
I got mine from a second hand store and although the little indentations underneath were not exactly the same, it still works.
Getting a new one from the manufacturer is pretty expensive as someone has already told you!
Your best bet is a second hand one.

If the original is no longer available, a sub may be if you provide the model number of the oven.

When I needed to replace my micro wave plate I tried the makers..the price was ridiculous...I think they are a manufacturers part as there are so many models on the market..I started scouting round car boot/garage sales and eventually got one for coppers...

yeah i would say look up the company and try to find the right model my sister broke hers and she put in a regular old glass plate, works just the same
