One way to think of this to imagine an area that was 19 ft x 100 ft.

Since 1 ft = 0.3048 m, you just need to multiply your values by 0.3048.

So:
19 feet ≈ 5.8 meters
100 feet ≈ 30.5 meters

Multiplying you get:
≈177 sq meters

Alternatively, just multiply 1900 x 0.3048 x 0.3048 ≈ 176.515776 sq meters, but I would round this to:
≈177 sq meters

You can also check your answer by typing '1900 sq ft in sq m' into Google.

I'm not sure what you plan to do for your reunion, whether you are eating a sit down meal or not. From experience a room of 280 square meters (about 1900 square foot) will accomodate 250 people for a full sit down meal easily. That looks to be about 7.6 square foot per person, so something about 1,140 square feet should do it for a sit down meal. However - if you have a few venues in mind then just ring them up. They know what square footage you need in their rooms per person and it will vary dependant on the shape of the room and their fire safety limits. It also depends on whether you plan just eating, or want dancing floor space so you really need to ring them directly detailing what you want.

In the future, the simplest way to get this, aside from actually learning and using the formula, is to just google "1900 square feet in square meters"
