trust me, they've walked in your shoes. all adults were once kids and we all caught grief from our parents, sometimes unjustly. as you get older you'll see either that your parents were right or they weren't right but it just doesn't matter anymore because they love you more than anything else in the world. parenting is a tricky thing and we all make mistakes. just love them anyway and hope you can be as good if not a better parent yourself when the time comes. good luck.

first of all i want to say i am so sorry they don't listen to what you have to say. that's too bad. they must be from a different generation or they could have stress in their own life?

sounds like you don't have very understanding parents. now you already know that, so you are the mature one here and know that they may not know any better ...so maybe just accept them the way they are...you just have to make sure that you don't give them a chance to blame you. how's that for an answer...i am really sorry.

Sweety trust me they've been there and sometime parents forget how it was growing up, but one thing that I can say is that , that is never gonna change... I'm 27 both of my parents still check on me like I'm 15, or 12 even... As long as You are Their Baby, its not gonna change, so get used to it and try to brush off the negative..... They're Parents....its their job to make you upset...its all about growing up....

Maybe they're too insecure to be told the truth by their children. My seven year old son sometimes corrects me, always in a respectful manner, and I take great pride in that he was smart enough to spot my mistake.

Sometimes kinds can be disrespectful and that would make parents angry. However, the parents are to blame for their childrens disrespectful attitides.
