I'm one of those "Help where I was needed" and then "Go for help" folks. I can "Take charge and delegate" when fear and panic are present and leadership by others is non-existant or ineffective. There usually is a "big bull of the woods" around somewhere who insists on their way and loves bossing--but they better know what they are doing. I'm more a facilitator. And I have been known to crack a joke or two now and then.

grab my gun, lock the car and start walking towards the town or better area. ofcourse i also have a cell phone like most other people so i could also call for help. get a tow truck and a taxi and get to somewhere safe.
kinda common sence. if im in nowhere and my car isnt working im not gonna stay there, no food or water = not safe.
if its a bad area thats where the gun comes in handy.
