Our 9 yr anniversary is coming up soon. We have 3 children and tight on money. I normally cook us a late dinner, after we have put the kids to bed early. I would like to try to do something different. I am not sure if I can find a sitter for the kids or not.... I am game for any ideas. Anyone have any inexpensive ones? Thanks

I am coming up on my 11 year anniversary. I understand your situation. We have 4 kids and we just moved to a new city. So money is a little tight. Is there another country that you two would love to visit? Maybe have a dinner with some food and music from another country. Setting the atmosphere with that country. Leave little notes around the house leading up to the day. Such as little riddles that he would have to solve. Each riddle would lead him to a different place in the house. Also with a little trinket in each place. The main thing is spending time with each other. It is a blessing to be together 9 years later. Many don't make it that far. Don't feel bad if you can't give a certain gift. Or go to a certain place. Too many people focus on holidays and not on the other days of the year. Show your love ever day. Remember LOVE is an action word! It's something you show, and not just on one day. Have fun.

why dont you leave the kids with you mom or his. then make dinner at home and have wine and take a bubble bath together. all the good stuff. or take him somewhere you all could be all alone. but that is cheap because you said you guys are tight on money right? anyway or w hy dont you do this. have a lunch where you guys first met. while the kids are at school. anyway i bet you will think of something and congs on your 9 yr anniversary. i only been married for about year and half but i know how it's feel to plan an anniversary.
