If you fall in love with one that is the greatets thing for you personally it doesn't matter how much weight she or he gains, you are in love with the person and not the skin.

Is possible to love someone, and then after the weight gain don't find her attractive, but then don't make a fool of yourself, you didn't love her in the first place, everything was physical.
If you love her, and you care for her, help her to get fit, after all is the woman you love, no? you want the best for her and for you too.
if you don't feel like that, you don't love her, and quit wasting the time of both, easy (opinion as man, sorry if is rude)

First, nature evolved men to be visual. Hunter/gatherers. Men view first, make a descision on what they see, then take action on the object or move to the next object. That is neural hardwired by nature.
But we men do have feelings and if he still cares for you he would be more than willing to work with you to improve your health. And trust me if you gained 50 lbs in a years your health is in danger and your need to start with a medical check up, listen to what the doc has to tell you and get to work improving your health.
Notice I did not say weight. You can weigh more than you did but it might be muscle and tone and you look good.
So it's time to stop with the "can/could/why would he still want/care/love me", and get to the I love you and would you help me.
This can bring you closer or tear you apart. You chose.

Speaking from personal experience, the not touching me anymore, not having sex as often as we use too, the staying out late, it just seemed like after I had our kids and was losing the weight it wasn't coming off fast enough for him.
I did the working out 5 days a week for him, I did the diets and everything for him. What it took me so long to realize was I have to do it for ME and only me.
But darling let me tell you, since the divorce :) I have lost over 40lbs and he has gained it ALL!!!! I have a great guy that loves me for me NOT how much I weigh. And I have never been more happy!

Obviously I am a woman. not a man. However, if the person really loves you, the love should be blind. I answered this because my husband gained 65 pounds and I still find him very attractive. I can look at him as others see him and be like yeah, he is chubby, but I LOVE him, all of him, so if he is fat, skinny, whatever, it doesn't matter, he will always be HOT to me.

I think it's such a common scenario. He might still love you, but I think it's understandable that he might lose the attraction.
What is the reason for the weight gain? I think it's mean for women to work so hard to get their man and when they have him say: "okay, my work is done!" and let themselves go.
The marriage is only the beginning, so shouldn't both partners be working hard for each other?
I gained a little big of weight when I got married, but my husband was still very attracted to me. It just made me want to work harder to be better for him and I ended up looking better that before I got married.
Does that answer any of your questions?

It would be dissapointing, but I would still love her. Of course the physical attraction would dwindle. What person (male/female) wouldn't lose some physical interest in a companion that gained 50lbs.?

Men take sex any way they can but when they love someone that's a different thing altogether.
When hes not attracted anymore you may find lipstick on his collar.

This happens too often in my opinion..Women should not gain huge amounts of weight as soon as they get a man..Personally I put a 25 pound limit on them and then its adios
