my server just crach. now how. do i get it to see the other computers attach to it? pls help. i don't have a tech near by.

ive read your post and im sorry but u need a tech. there is no way someone who has little server knowldege will be able to get it running again. sorry and good luck.

Please re-start your PC to make sure that your system will back up and running. When the server running again then please do the following:
1.) Get the list of IP addresses of your client workstation and ping them individually from the server . Example: ping 192.168.0.2
2.) If there is a reply during pinging then they are all seeing each other with no problem.
3.) Just double click your "My network places and then go double click the "Entire network icon".
4.) After clicking the Entire Network , your server diplay the computer which they are connected from your server.

Firstly try rebooting yor server by switching it off and restarting. If that does not work you have to rebuild the operating system . But most of the time the restarting of the server will help. Godd luck lwet me know .

to go CMD...Start....run...type in CMD...enter. Once the black screen comes up, type in net view this will show everyone on your network.
