Have you ever noticed how Star Wars is referenced in everything? Why is this?

because star wars changed movie making close to 30 years ago. and because of that alot of people talk bout it. oh and it also had the kind of release few movies can ever have. it was released in few theaters because alot of movie industry people thought the movie was destined to fail. the movie did not and because of that there were problems with other types of products. just remember the empty box campaign from kenner toys. now today alot of movies get over hyped and fail or get not enough to be really successful

Well its not referenced in everything, but it is referenced a LOT. I think the reason is because the movies are so popular and when it is mentioned somewhere, everyone knows what the person is talking about. You know what I mean? BTW, I love Star Wars and I'm a girl!

Because Star Wars is awesome. The Star Wars and The Godfather trilogys are always referenced to, because they are some of the best movies of all time......They will always be considered the ultimate classics.

Because most young filmmakers today first fell in love with movies when their parents took them to see the "Star Wars" films in the 70's and early 80's. It's what they call an homage -- a way of honoring that film.

I'm guessing it's because almost everyone on the planet has seen Star Wars. Doesn't mean everyone likes it, but how many people do you know that have never heard phrases like "It's not wise to upset a Wookie" or "The force will be with you -- always"?

At the time (1977) when Stars Wars was first shown on the big screen, it took Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie making to the next level.

i admire the two. i admire the star Trek previous television sequence with very youthful William Shatner. additionally grew up staring on the unique star Wars on the super show screen interior the 70s. i'm no longer prepared on the recent star Trek, nor the star Wars Clone Wars stuff. Neither of them look to have the magic.
