well i think the reason why he got mad is because when you guys got married. you guys took vows and the ring is part of the symbol of his love to you. so i would wear it. i love wearing my wedding ring . if my hubby found out if i didnt he would be upset. anyway just put your self in his place. how would you like it? anyway why wouldnt you want to wear. if you are married that why you wear the ring because then if guys are hitting on you they can see you are married and back off. dont get me wrong i am not saying the reason you dont wear the ring is because of that. but just trying to make a point. anyway think about it a nd good luck

Yes. It's totally disrespectful. A wedding ring is there for a reason...not just a symbol of love but to show others that you're taken. Unless you're a doctor or something where you're unable to wear it, I think it's disrespectful to your husband. And anyway, why wouldn't you wear it? There has got to be a reason.

i have met men and women both that are real anal about wedding rings. Many men don't wear their rings all the time because of the jobs they have and its risky if their finger got caught and cut off. from the mans point of view I think they are more anal about it because they thinks it wards off predatory men looking to pick up on their women. I am a homemaker, I don't wear my rings around the house because of dirt and grime and dishwater getting in the sets. But with or without them, my husband knows that I am devoted to him, and he understands my reasoning for not wearing them when i don't.

It would depend why you wont/arent wearing it. Is it because it doesnt fit anymore? Maybe your job is hard on your hands and you dont want to damage the ring. If thats the case he should understand and you should wear it when you are not working.
If you arent wearing it because you want other men out there to think you are available then he has every right to be angry and should put his foot down.

Yes. Wearing your ring all the time is a very small thing to ask but it is a huge indication of how you feel about the marriage.

No, of course not. Many men don't wear their rings because it is a hazard at work. My husband is a firefighter and because he can't wear it at work, he seldom remembers to wear it on his days off. A ring is a piece of jewelry, I personally do not wear my ring all the time. As long as you are committed to your husband, a ring is just a ring.

Would you get mad if he didn't wear his wedding ring?

2006-09-26 04:39:18 · answer #9 · answered by shortcakes_maple 2 · 0 0

Yes, honey. He bought you that ring out of love for you and as a symbol to the world that he loves you and that you are officially "off the market." If you refuse to wear it, it gives him the signal that you aren't committed. That may or may not be true, but that's the message it sends. If my husband quit wearing his, I would be incredibly hurt and offended. But if I quit wearing mine, he would be devastated!

I think it depends on the circumstance. Neither of my parents wear their rings. I know that if I were married and there were no potention hazards in my spouse wearing their ring, then I would be hurt and upset.
