I always liked the mnemonic - 'many volcanoes erupt mulberry jam sandwiches under normal pressure' but I guess I'll have to drop the pressure now that Pluto's demoted and adapt it to 'many volcanoes erupt mulberry jam sandwiches up north' or something. As for an anagram of 'the planets' then that would have to be 'Let hen past' or 'Last pet hen' but it doesn't mean much!

a mnemonic is a way of helping to remember a sequence of names, by making up an artificial word or sentence out of the initial letters of the names,
an anagram is a shuffling of the letters of a word to make another word or random-looking collection of letters, so as to disguise what the word is, and people then have to guess it by unscrambling the letters to make a meaningful word,
You mean a mnemonic, People can make their own mnemonic up, they will remember it better that way.

Just wait another year and they will find another planet, or decide to remove or rename one of the existing ones.

It's not an anagram, it's a mnemonic.

Who cares? You're just going to vote for btlabarre's answer as best, because he is you, and you're cheating.
Busted.
Everyone look at btlabarre's answer history. He is using this and other IDs to ask questions, then he answers them as btlabarre, and picks his own answer as best. Please report this asker and btlabarre for abuse as "POINT GAMING"
