So many times have I heard a conspiracy theorist state "Well if we have been to the moon why haven't we been back?" We have. There were a total of 7 lunar missions, 6 of which put man on the moon. The exception is Apollo 13, which most people know about. So my question is this, do those of you who believe we never landed on the moon think we faked it 6 times, or do you just ignore Apollo missions 12-17 and only focus on Apollo 11?

Lol...I can't believe some of the answers I have gotten so far. "Flag waving the whole time" You might want to take a better look. The flag was positioned so that it would show the illusion of waving in the wind. You never see the flag move. And if we faked it 7 times, can you believe the amount of secrecy and the number of people involved. Out of all the evidence doubters will give you, they will never give you a witness!

The people who don't believe we went to the moon are the same MORON's who believe the government was directly responsible for the world trade center, the dikes in New Orleans breaking an every other wacko conspiracy theory that is out there. Who cares what they think? They are in that tiny minority that have there heads up there.....

1) The "moon race" was an extension of the cold war. It was mostly about national prestige. We got there first and achieved our primary objective. There was some good science: surveys, measurements, sample collection. But it was mostly about being there first. Once we achieved our primary object, there was no political will to go back. There still isn't.

2) In 1972, there was a politically motivated burglary of a hotel room in the Watergate Hotel. There were only about six or eight people who knew about it. However, those people, including Richard M. Nixon, the President of the United States, failed to keep that burglary a secret. It exploded into a scandal that drove the President and a number of others from office.

If six or eight people couldn't keep a hotel room burglary a secret, then how could literally thousands of people could have kept their mouths shut about six faked moon landings? Not one, but six!

3) Even if NASA and other government agencies could have fake the six moon landing well enough to fool the general public, they could NOT have fooled the space agency or military intelligence types in the USSR. The Soviets were just dying to beat us. If the landings were faked, the Soviets would have re-engineered their N-1 booster and landed on the moon just prove what liars Americans are. Why didn't they? Because the landings were real and the Soviets knew it.

Although I do believe we went to the moon, if we faked it once faking it 6 more times would be the easiest and best way to prove the first time wasn't a hoax. On the other hand a conspiracy of that size would have been exposed within a few years, the more people involved the higher the chance that someone will develop values.

You've certainly brought up a good point. I get a kick out of all the wackos who use the flag issue as "proof" that we didn't ever land men on the moon. The answer to that objection is so laughable as to hardly require a response.

Personally, I don't give a hoot in hell if a few airheads refuse to believe the manned lunar landings never happened. They belong right up there with the flat-earth bimbos.

The flag was moving... the twisting motion used to put the flag in the ground made the bottom half flap, since there is no air on the moon, energy lasts much longer therefore the flapping lasted a very long time. The illusions were the way the shadows fell across the landscape... Maybe that's what your thinking of...

There are so many holes in the conspiracy theorists "proof" that it astounds me that anyone believes them.

"There is none so blind" as he who refuses to see the truth.

Well most of the people think we faked it all the times but more stress has always been layed only on the first mission and the rest are considered if that isnt true why are the others? Yet if light is put on the other missions they also appear to be fakedue to the same reasons so if 11 is proved to be true so are the others

Brings back fond memories of my Great Granny Barr, bless her heart. Believed the moon shots were all fake, and that pro wrestling was real.
