Can i use a netgear router with my linksy's adaptor? i have a linksys router and adaptor but i keep getting disconnected when i play ps2 online.. are my adaptor and router messing it up or is it one or the other? ive been told netgear is the way to go but i dont feel like spending another 200 like i did on the linksys products.. please help.!

Go to TigerDirect...they have excellent deals on routers and adapters...if you spent $200 you got ripped off.

Are they older models? They may not just support a broad enough connection to play PS2 games on. And since they're different makes, there may be compatibility issues that are making them run slower aswell.

The connection the router is on is the most important factor. Is it a high speed broadband connection? If not, you will need to upgrade your router.

You don't need to change your router. Make sure that it has the latest firmware.
