The iron in prenatal vitamins can result in an upset stomach and entire GI tract. In some people it causes constipation and in others loose stools. Make sure you take with food, and you might try dividing the pill and taking it twice a day after food. See if that helps.
You are so wise and conscientious to realize that taking prenatal vitamins prior to conception is a good idea.
Best wishes. The world needs more moms like you.

Well I always get sick feeling when I take my Pre-Natal pills too, because they are so high in volume, so I thought to try them after I eat and it still didn't work, so I just started taking them before I go to bed. And that helped me. So try this, Take your pill before you go to bed at night, but not on an empty stomach. Maybe if you have eaten 2-3 hours before you go to bed, then eat a piece of bread or cracker then take your pill. And go to bed.
Good luck

For your sake I hope you are pregnant :),
but I do remember a few times if I took my PNV before I ate I would feel nauseaus and I did throw up a couple of times.
Try taking it immediately after you eat. it helps if you take it with yogurt too.

your prenatal vitamins can make you nauseated... try taking them with food or milk or before you go to bed, dont take them on an empty stomach... I guarantee you that its the vitamins making you throw up... speaking from experience.
