I feel so sick, but no throwing up, should I just make myself throw up to relieve sickness? I am 7 weeks pregnant, and cant even get out because I am so sick and overwhelmed, I might vomit in public at the wrong place. (or more yet, not get to a bathroom on time. )

its a personal choice, you could. but in reality it might not help you a single bit. Then you'll be nauseous with heart burn from the reflux. If your morning sickness has gotten to a point where you can not function the best thing to do is to speak with your Doctor about some things you can do, they even have some prescription medications you can take during pregnancy that will help you with the morning sickness

Do not make yourself sick just to relieve the feeling. Try eating some crackers, they will help but the most important thing to remember is that you haven't gotten sick. So going out in public may not be as bad as you think. Also, you may be feeling sick because you are just that hungry. If you eat some crackers for starters, it may slightly relieve that and then you could try eating something real and see if that helps. The worst it will do is actually make you sick and either way, you will feel better. Although, after you throw up, you will feel like eating.Ironic, isn't it!!! : )

Well I will tell you that making yourself throw up probably will not make you feel better. Sometimes if you just sit over the toilet and think about it enough it will come. I get really sick during pregnancy and I stay sick the whole 40 weeks of it. I would ask your doctor at your next visit if she or he can prescribe for you an anti-nausea pill. Some times they can really help. You might have to try two or three different pills before you find one that helps. Good luck and I hope that your sickness subsides so you can enjoy your pregnancy more.

I went through 3 different types of morning sickness. My first child was "Puke, puke, puke, all the time". That was bad. My 2nd, however, was like you. I felt horrible all the time, but nothing ever came up. I couldn't eat because I felt like I'd puke if I did, but I knew I wouldn't. It just was horrible. With my last child, it was a combo of both types. I never knew if I was going to puke or not. I spent hours in the bathroom over the toilet. Blah.

I'd recommend drinking some tea or soda with Ginger in it. For soda, shake it alot to make it flat, as the carbonation can upset your stomache, too. But the ginger will settle it down.

You -can- make yourself throw up, but I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you are feeling -really- bad.

Also, some doctors recommend taking 1/2 a sleeping pill to settle the stomache during pregnancy. Personally, I've never tried it, as I wasn't sure it'd work, and didn't want to risk any problems. But I had 3 different OB's, and 2 of them both told me the same thing. My little sister is 2 months along right now, and her doctor also told her that.

NO! You feel sick because you're hungry...I know that sounds weird, but it's true. Try eating small meals all day long and that should help with the nausea. You can also try ginger candy. You and your baby need all the nutrients you can get right now, making yourself throw up will just make things worse. If things are really that bad, ask your Dr. what you can do. There are devices for nausea that don't involve drugs...

Sorry, it won't work. You are not really sick in your stomach. It's the hormone changes. No matter what you have going on with your pregnancy, ALL women understand. You will get first in line at the bathroom and they will make way when you need it.
My wife found B17 lolly pops online that help with morning sickness. Funny...morning sickness doesn't always happen in the morning, as we found out.

i missed 2 months of work because of morning sickness, i feel your pain. yes, making yourself throw up makes you feel tons better. i found that (and this is gross) the majority was due to phlegm. Bring a throw up cup that you can rinse out wherever you go. dont be afraid to wear your pj's in public. Gatorade works wonders, but dont forget plenty of water because gatorade is only a quick absorption thing. it will make you constipated and you dont want to go to the hospital for dehydration. nothing worked for me but time, and learning to deal with stressful situations better. i have had panic attacks this whole time which i have never had before. try vomiting in the shower so you can bend your head over and sit with the water running over you. the shower can always be cleaned but getting all messy and throw-uppy is worse. and you get to rinse the grime off from laying down all the time. you can try carnation instant breakfasts, for quick nutrition. if you have a place to sit outside, sit with your legs stretched out or crossed in the chair with a blanket over you. let your body drink in some sunshine and the fresh air will make you feel so much better. 2 more things i tried eating crackers but they soured in my mouth, making things worse, and i tried the anti nausea pills. they make you feel like you are on a spaceship except for the Zofran, which is about 40 dollars a pill. and you have to take it twice a day every day for it to work.

Try drinking peppermint tea or eating peppermint and ginger you can take ginger tablets or eat gingersnaps or candied ginger. Sometimes make your self throw up helps other times it makes it worse. I wouldn't make a habit of it and don't just gag yourself this can leave you with a short throat. Try getting a large glass of warm water and chugging it quickly this will often make you vomit. Good luck, if this persit to the piont that you aren't eating talk with your Dr. they will sometimes RX fenogren to Prg. moms who are real ill. Best to you.

So totally NOT a good idea! Ask you doctor for something to give you for the severe sounding nausea. You should be able to at least function. It will subside a bit for you I hope and it should be fairly soon. It wouldn't be good to make yourself throw up. I don't think you'd get much relief and you risk damaging your esophagus, getting dehydrated and losing nutrients important to you and your baby.
