Inhumanity will on no account end. conflict, violence and slavery is dated back to the bible situations. We might desire for something yet see the craze the international is dooming. Is it getting extra appropriate or worse? i might like a stop to inhumanity yet finding on the realitiy taking place now does not supply me any experience. discomfort and suffering all started from the introduction while God informed Adam and Eve they are going to sweat out in discomfort in the previous they consume. you're making a difference popular even devoid of you understanding it. They way you seem, think of, act and so on..in case you are able to not see in your self then seem at people around you. they at the instant are not that guy or woman they have been the day previous to this.

Hear bloody hear! I too, am sick to death with being told that I shouldn't call a spade a spade, and that drain trap is now a person-hole cover. Baa baa xxx sheep, etc et bloody cetera! What a load of old bollox it all is. All thought up by some do-gooders who are scared shitless of their own shadow and think everybody else should go by the same rules. Well, not me buster! They can all go and do their clever anti-this and anti-that nonsense elsewhere because I don't fall for it. I say what I like in my own country, and providing I don't go mad with it and start a riot, I don't expect anybody to tell me not to - and woe betide them if they try!

Brilliant Question/statement, I totally agree, too many sensative people having too much to say, The only thing is, we the sheeple just put up with it. like we put up with everything else that gets up our noses. we moan and complain but we have no voice, and we are too scared of the consequences to do anything about it. It wasn't too long ago when people would stick together to force changes for the good. But now we just sit and let it happen. So this will get worse until we finally become none thinking robots.

Very good point, my favorite word is 'homophobic' this is a word 'conjured' up by homosexuals to initially describe any one who didnt like homos! The definition of the word was soon changed to mean a fear of homos!!
I was a homophobic because I didnt like homos, but I can no longer be a homophobic because this now implies I am frightened of homos??
I was amazed when I first heard some 'yupee' types in a bar talking about 'PC' this and 'PC' that I asked the group what they were talking about!! They were equally amazed at my lack of common knowledge, it just all seemed to spring up from out of the blue!!
How to combat it, you ask?
Just ignore the pratts or at least try to educate them !!
Not much chance of that is there !! (Big sigh)

The words we use to describe things and people affect the way we and others think about them. That's why words are so powerful.

For example, you use the words "beaurocratic idiot", which paints a vivid picture. Someone else might describe the same person as a "highly skilled administrator". The term you use defines how you think about, and possibly interact with such a person, and communicates that image to me, your reader, as well.

I do think that sometimes institutions hide behind political correctness to stifle debate, but I also think that it is important to use our language in a thoughtful and respectful way.

I think that being aware that certain words and phrases may cause offence to others is a good thing. it means that, ideally, people will stop using them and thus they will stop being accepted as 'the norm' and maybe this will facilitate the demise of such racist expressions.

however, i absolutely agree with you on how far this has been taken.

blackboard, for example. how could anyone possibly take exception to this??? it is black and it is a board. it's a blackboard.

the most annoying thing is when it's hypocritical.

whiteboard, for example. it's white and it's a board. and yet no-one cries 'racism' when anyone uses that expression.

bizarre!

It's just boring boring boring. Be like me, i say what i want when i want and to who i want. If i offend you then tough, it's freedom of speech and it's my opinion, i'm entitled to it. So, don't like it? Then don't talk to me!

The majority of PC swats are trying to change things to make people feel they are equal. We already feel equal without having snow white and the seven dwarfs (sorry, little people, is that right, oh darn it, did i say the wrong thing?) changed so as not to offend anyone! Get a life, take up a hobby and stop gettings on my t*ts!

I whole heatedly agree, it becomes very wearing at times - you have to pick your words and walk on egg shells for fear of offending someone. Tact & diplomacy is a wonderful thing, but there are limits to everything,

Because, most people in the UK are to the "left of center" and believe all the things that you are irritated with. A lot of "Yanks" are the same way, my friend. Maddening!
