I just had an eye test, and my prescription is 0.25 myopia, I was also told I have astigmatism. Do I need to wear glasses? Will they help?

Incidentally - I believe some "eye doctors" will tell you that you need glasses when you don't, because they make money that way. I'm just looking for an honest/unbiased answer.

In your case they prescribed you glasses mainly because you have astigmatism, -0.25 is very weak.

If glasses are worn continuously over time the poor vision will generally become worse. Essentially what glasses do is lock the eyes into their refractive state and in order to see through your lenses you have to maintain the poor vision that the lenses are designed to correct.
This the method I used to restore perfectly my vision naty secret to restore 'near perfect' 20/20 vision naturally http://getyourvisionbacknow.keysolve.net
However, here's the good news:
You can improve your eyesight by simply learning, naturally and practicing the correct way to see for a few small minutes a day. “Vision Without Glasses” - program you'll be taken by the hand, it shows you how to improve your vision naturally, permanent and complete solution. Even the American Optometric Association has been forced to admit these things!
I'm sure that you will not regret your decision.

0.25 in ophthalmic terms is barely there...you are slightly nearsighted; astigmatism means your eye is misshapen slightly. My myopia is 2.00 and I am told this isn't considered that bad. You might be able to correct your vision with some simple exercises.

No. Wearing your glasses at the computer will make your body/eyes more dependent on the glasses. I'm not sure EXACTLY how it works, but I'm short sighted too, and I am supposed to wear my glasses all the time except when reading or at the computer to prevent myself from needing a stronger prescription. That's what my doctor says, anyway!

Most people believe that once they are diagnosed with some vision problem and start wearing eye glasses or contact lenses to correct them, they will have to do so for life in order to see better. Those who want a permanent solution to improve eyesight typically resort to Lasik or other corrective eye surgeries. But you you can also improve your vision without surgery and can see perfectly well without using eyeglasses or contact lenses. You can check here to know how https://tr.im/d5f13

it depends on your symptoms.... astigmatism can cause dizziness, nausea and bad headaches. if you have these then glasses can help you relieve it.

but if you have no problems then no need to get one.

some people get symptoms even with low power/grades like .25 some dont havet any sypmtoms even if they have power/grades like 2.00.
