I have used this really neat acorn harvesting machine at the Moultrie Ag. Show. It is called Bag-A-Nut. I recently saw them on Ebay.com for sale too (just search "bag a nut"). there web site is www.baganut.com It picks them up while you walk , and there are models that you can attach to lawnmowers, tractors, etc....and it is all plastic,so it wont rust, and there is no motor to break down. I want to get a walk-in-front model this year. They are a little expensive, but in the long run, i think it would pay off.
