Depending on the type of carpet, you can ususally just let an ice cube sit in the dent and as the ice melts the dent goes away.

Take your foot and rub it back and forth on the spot - all you are doing is loosening up the carpet fibers.

It might take a couple of days for it to come back to normal, so every so often rub your foot on it... and forget about it!

try a steam iron, don't iron the rug, just quirt the steam onto
it and just use your fingers to bring the carpet back up.. do
not use ice or cold water.. this is what i was told when i got
new carpets 2 years ago.

Run a vacuum over them.

Don't worry, the carpet is fine.

my furniture dents my carpets all the time i just use my vacum cleaner.

Use the vacuum attachment that has a brush on it and scrub...you basically need to loosen up the fibers.

i use a strong vaccum and it works fine, in the future you may want to use those little things that keep that from happening
