I would recommend joining clubs or activities like sports teams, newspaper, drama, whatever interests you. This is the one sure way I know of to meet friends.

the best thing is be very frank urself...when u go to new school there are over 1000 eyes on u...they watch u always...coz many looks at u coz they wanna be ur friend,many looks to find a mistake in u and some just looks u just coz u r a new student...so first of all talk to those sitting next to u...sometimes the student next to u wont be that good..but try to put up urself...coz when u have someone to open ur heart that will be very relaxing..then later on during intervals go to each student and introduce urself..never boast about u...and appreciate them for their qualities..dont be alone anytime...be very social..soon u'll find urself having plenty of friends from which then u can sort out good and bad ones..whenever u talk be very calm and nice in ur voice..try to be active in class and make use of the chance u get...nobody is aware of ur talents..so if some chance come u go forward and make use of it..so next time if chance comeagain they'll automaticalyy suggest u..so u'll be star in the class...all the best.

B open to all.... talk to ur classmates.. the more u will b open to them & discuss ur life with... u'll find gud companies around U... u dont hv to sit & watch,,U have to play ur role ,,then only u'l get ur kinda frndzz... play games wid them,xchange notes, try to start a conversation wid Hi & smile.&like whr do u live? etc etc..
U will b popular only wen u open to all & get together ,take part in school activities,show ur talents to all teachers or others who dont know u well...wel hv a gr8 life in school itz a best time or say part of life.BEST LUCK!

i would agree with the above. join some groups! things that you enjoy, then you kno that you will meet ppl who enjoy similar things, who cares if there the most popular!
