I would try a couple of things (I am using a Linksys wireless setup for my xbox and my xbox 360). First of all, plug the wireless router into a laptop/desktop computer and watch what happens for a little bit. What I mean, is it dropping the connection on that computer and/or what is the signal strength. My guess is that if it is doing that on your PS2 then it will do it with a computer too, but if it doesn't then it might be the sony network and/or the servers that are hosting the games.
A lot of times cordless phones will interfere with wireless signals, so I would recommend changing the channel. I'm not sure if this is the same address on your linksys, but try typing this into your broswer
http://192.168.1.1/ or
http://192.168.1.100/

You will need your username and/or password to get into the router settings. At that point find the wireless tab and then change the channel. Your adaptor should find the new channel automatically.

Hope this helps.

A on the spot modem router will be a on the spot router/modem mixture and a on the spot router would only be a router through itself. in case you had intense-speed cable information superhighway you'll choose a modem linked to a on the spot router to get on line.

I am sure you have already but reset your router while it is disconnected from your PS2. When you re connect it. Make sure the PS2 is powered off and try it. I have to do that all the time with mine.

This happened to me a lot too. It could be the power that your router is plugged into. You can get a small UPS for that plug to make sure that your power is consistent -- I had to do this for work too :P

It could be the server for the game you are playing.

Did you move the playstation? If so, you are probably too far away!
