I would call the doctor so you can relax and ask what they meant. I'm sure they would be happy to let you know what this means. You're pregnant and don't need the added stress...Try to not be worried, I'm sure everything is going to be OK. Please let us know after you talk to someone or have the test.

If I remember correctly hgc is the hormone that they measure to tell if your pregnant or not. An ultra sound at this stage is really cool. I was about 12 weeks with my first one and they did an ultra sound and I could see the baby dancing around...the more I giggled the more she moved!! It was soooo fun. Talk to your doctor. Make sure you ask everything that pops into your head. Good doctors will take the time and answer your questions...so will their nurses. It is a good idea to jot down your questions in a little note pad to take to your appointments.

If the HcG hormone is increasing faster than expected it could mean multiple babies (unless you've already had an ultrasound to rule that out). Otherwise, it could be a molar pregnancy. This is where the cells stop turning into baby parts and just start dividing randomly...never to turn into a baby. It falls loosely into the cancer category simply because the cells are not doing what they are supposed to do. My sister-in-law had a molar pregnancy, and they had to give her a D&C to take the "baby" and clean her out. Then they wanted to check her blood for the next year to make sure nothing had gotten into her blood stream. There may be other reasons the hormone increases faster than normal, but these are the only 2 reasons I know of.

It isn't bad. More then likely, it means you are carrying more then one baby. There are other things that could be going on, but an ultrasound will clear all that up. Call your doctor and talk to them. They will be able to explain the reasons why and order an ultrasound for you. There is no need to get really worried. It's probably nothing. Pregnancy is never a sure thing, every pregnancy is different, so they just want to make sure everything is going well. Talk to your doctor, they can answer any questions you have and also help with ordering tests and getting everything squared away.

They said it was tripling, maybe that means your having more than one baby and that is why they need to give you an ultra sound to see for sure. If it was something really bad you would think the doctor would have said something. But it sounds to me like you may be having triplets, but I am no doctor so don't freak out by what I say. Good luck

Nope, you're probably ok. Worst case scenario is that you are having a molar pregnancy which would have to be terminated, BUT everybody is different and some people increase faster than others and then level off in a few weeks, some people don't increase enough and are told a miscarriage is inevitable and then their levels catch up. Truthfully, they are probably checking to make sure you only have one baby in there. HCG levels increase faster and stronger with multiples.

Most of the time that means you might be having more than one baby! Your levels are higher with multiple babies and that is generally the cause of rapidly rising levels. No it's not a bad thing honey, relax and wait to see your little heartbeats! I have an ultrasound tomorrow because my husband and doctor think I'm having twins....it'll be alright, keep us posted!! Good luck to you!

Dont stress honey. More than likely if your levels are high its an indication that you may be carring multiples and thats why they want to do an ultrasound. congrats on the pregnancy and take it easy. These next 8 months or so are all about you and your baby!!

Usually that means that they suspect twins or multiples. Or they want to check dates with what is showing on the ultrasound - to confirm a delivery date. As in you are further along or not as far along as you think. It's nothing to stress about. It will rule out things like twins or confirm them!
