You can fill in the name of the candidate in the sidebar and find out all kinds of things about them.

Most candidates will have websites that explain their platform, you should be able to google the person by name to find out. Also if the candidate is an incumbent from either the US House or Senate, you can go to http://thomas.loc.gov/ and http://www.senate.gov/ to get their voting records. Local and state legislatures may or may not have voting records available online.

Just go to their public speeches, you know, skip work, and show up at their ralllies!
