It's a boon. Although "boon" is an odd word to use.
Without the internet, how else would you be able to have perfect strangers answering your questions from around the world? Sure, there are perverts and hackers and plenty of things to steer clear of, but I also have the ability to teach myself to do anything for free without going to a library.

....it's really a 'boon'...internet itself is not a boon or a curse...as like all other inventions in the earth...these terms depends simply on the individuality of human beings...if one use it for profitable purposes..then it's a boon...a good question to ask..good anusha...great thinking...!!

yes its true there is two part in this world one is good and another is bad,its depend on us which will we want to choose.i think internet is boon,in that way we can do search for any thing without spending so much time,its limit our time in that busy life.look in that way u have got lot of answer for ur question ,and u can clear ur doubt.and u can got so much information on worldwide knowglede,in that u can improve u r giornale knowledge.

Well Anusha this isn't exactly the best place to get an unbiased opinion. :) I only see it as benificial the information sharing, being able to find out the answer to your questions, or about ideas you were unfamiliar with. Being able to communicate with people from different cultures even places in the world. It's all good.

Its a bit of both. Boon if used for good purpose and curse if used for bad purpose like......... U can understand. I mgetting lot of help from net so i thank the person who invented internet.

hi dear anusha in this beautifull world and life every thing has two part good and bad. now its we who has to take the good part of bad part, now in the case of internet if u want to use for your goodness u will get the best of it so even boon is nothing in front of uses of the internet and actual use of it. now if u want to use the bad part of it u can go upto any level, its wholly depend on you.

I think is is a boon. Information that took hours or days to find is available with the press of a key in seconds.

I see it as a boon, it has helped our society greatly in terms of information and speed. Sure, there are some bad things, but overall I think it is a very good thing.

It is like a double edged sword. It can be used for good as well as bad things. If used properly, it can benefit the user in many ways.
