They can't possibly think that THAT many abortions just come from "liberals"
That's a joke.
As a matter of fact, I knew a Republican who SUGGESTED an abortion to someone I know.
You people are SO full of $hit.

AND, there are many instances where "conservative" Republican Christian church-going women cart their daughters off to the abortionist as soon as they find out their daughter is pregnant to save themselves the shame and humiliation in their hypocritical church communities.

Hey, John Skerry,
try to adress the actual question.
I know all the antiabortion rhetoric by hand.

I agree with you on that. I just think it's ridiculous that the right wing on this forum accuses the 'liberals' of abortion,
If most in America are pretty much in the center, that would mean it's probably both repub. conservatives and dem. liberals who get abortions somewhat equally.

I'm a conservative and I too, have known a few Republicans who have had abortions. It is sad, but true.
But often times, what people believe and what there actions are are 2 different things. There are many Democrats (especially wealthy ones) who believe in public education yet send their kids to private schools. Or ones who claim to have empathy for poor people and then hire people at crappy wages or don't tip the pizza delivery guy who makes minimum wage.
But getting back to your original question, I don't think because Republicans have abortions makes it any less of a valid point that abortion is wrong. I would even argue that it is probably more wrong for someone who is pro-life to get (or support in any way) an abortion than it is someone who is pro-choice.Someone who is pro-choice would tend to think of an abortion as simply an inconvenience-like getting the appendix taken out, while someone who is pro-life knows they are taking a life, but chooses convenience over life.

The word, in case you can't spell, is Conservative.
I am sure that Republicans have abortions, too. I suspect, however, that Democrats have more. This would be an interesting study. Do Democrats have more because they don't think they are wrong, or do Republicans have more because they think illegitimacy is wrong..?
This is, however, why legalized abortion is so horrible, people can convince them it isn't killing anyone, no big deal, BECAUSE it is legal.
In a country that just regulated the slaughter of HORSES, it is appalling that early stage HUMANS are not offered the same protection.
Abortion is IN MOST CASES an act of convenience due to an act if irresponsibility. If you can't protect yourself, don't have sex. EVERY woman should be on birth control AND use condoms. MEN should accept condom use and stop whining about them.
For those few who are having abortions because of rape/incest...that number is really too low to make law. As for health issues and the life of the mother, that too, is a very small number.
Pregnancy is PREVENTABLE.

Whoever said a Republican wouldn't have an abortion? I know Democrats who are pro-life, so why shouldn't there be Republicans who are pro-choice?
Why are you so closed minded? I can be a republican without totally agreeing with everything the party stands for - it's just the party that I feel has the country's best interest foremost in it's consideration.
Do you honestly agree with every single thing your party says? And if so, doesn't that make you a sheep?

I know a ton of supposed "Conservatives" who have had abortions. They are usually the ones who become Anti abortion which can be a sensitive issue. I will never figure out this mentality. It seams that being a Conservative gives one the right to be a hypocrite.

I don't have any statistics.
Interesting point, though - if what you say is true, then it would demonstrate that these people are hypocrites, but it would not demonstrate that abortion is a good idea.
President Clinton said he was for women's rights, but engaged in sexual harrasment and (apparently) sexual assault and rape. That doesn't mean rape should be legal. Just that, in your words, Clinton is "SO full of $hit."
I am neither 100% pro life nor 100% pro choice.

They can take the high moral ground since they know where to get theirs even when they're illegal. (You know they can't have any little bastards in their neighborhood.) They always have. Literature is full of sweet young damsels going away to Europe on vacation for a few months and, oops baby gone. Of course that never stopped them from laying every cute Italian they could get their legs around while they were "recovering". Pregnancy is preventable. You know it is considered birth control for rich republicans.
It's an interesting morality which saves the fetus and morally is ok with killing young boys in war and executing oftentimes innocent convicts.

The Christian vote is the base, but not the majority of the Republican voters. That doesn't make them full of anything. Not all Dems are pro-choice either. Guess what? They're not full of anything either! Broaden your mind a little.

It's all part of their "holier than thou" attitude. When they get abortions, it's for a "good" reason, but if anyone else gets one, they are evil babykillers. In a nutshell, they take advantage of all the rights they wish to take away from citizens (women's rights, civil rights, free speech, etc.).
