This question is too nuts to answer. I'm a liberal and answer some pretty nutty questions too. OK, fine:

Mandatory evacuations are pretty unAmerican--if you are too dumb to leave when you are told, you can drown. Putting guns to peoples heads and telling them to leave their homes is a wasted effort. Evacuate the people who can't leave, and let the ones who stay figure it out. Anyway--evacuation wouldn't have saved the destruction--you can't scoop the whole city up and move it somewhere else for the weekend.

We haven't been told the truth about the attacks and attempted attacks on the US, and this makes it look like the government is covering its tracks. Even so, do you really think the government made attacks of that scale against the US? You realize that such a plot would require several people a lot crazier than suicide bombers/pilots? Maybe they could have been found or hired, but it doesn't seem likely.

I wouldn't say Iraq did nothing to us, but he is wasting a lot of time and money there, while we have bigger fish getting off the hook.

What have you been smoking or drinking, dude? I don't want any of it. You had best get off it while you have some brain remaining. I regret to inform you that this is a free country, so the president and the military do not just evacuate an entire city at the drop of a hat. The people of New Orleans and the mayor have the responsibilty for such things, for we have states rights. You must win a prize for the thinnest excuse to be prejudiced against a Republican president.

New Orleans had never been hit with such a storm. How was Bush or nagle or anyone but God going to know what was going to happen. If you evacuated every city every time a storm was coming that's all we would have time to do.New Orleans was destroyed just like Sodom and Gomorrah and the rest of the USA will be judged if you liberals get your way. Oh, and I guess you think GWB should have gotten Bin laden in 8 months while slick willie had 8 years to get him and failed, but noooooooooo your liberal president did nothing wrong while he was sticking a cigar in Monica.

Idiot, before you post a question, research first! He did order a mandatory evacuation. But Mayor Nagin didn't take him up on it. Hence all the school buses under water. Mayor Nagin should be at fault first because he is the Mayor of the city. Why the hell does the city need a mayor or even the state need a governer if President Bush has make all the decisions for them? They might as well save their money and rebuild the levees instead of electing and paying their local officials.

At least I can spell IGNORANT. And you are correct, it is NOT GW's fault the New Orleans got hit by a cat 4 hurricane. New Orleans is BELOW sea level. THE GOVERNOR of Louisiana and the MAYOR of N'Orleans IGNORED the warnings to evacuate. It is NOT a FEDERAL matter to evacuate. Besides, Florida gets HIT all the time with hurricanes, you don't see the residents whining, looting and getting $2000 dollars.

I will repeat what other messages said...It isn't up to the President to call for evacuations. It is the responsibility of local government to do so. As for the 9/11 attack, if our President arranged and planned the whole thing don't you think he may have targeted the United Nations building instead? It would only make sense for him to do so. Oh and I think you mean "commie" which Bush is far from. Do you even know what a commie is? I doubt it.

You are a moron. Why is it Bush's responsibility to evacuate New Orleans?

Separation of power. The federal government does not control cities, the LOCAL government does. The fact that New Orleans wasn't evacuated lies SOLELY on Nagin and the Governor of LA.

Go to school and learn something about our government before you try forming and thoughts.

New Orleans is destroyed? Funny, I saw a NFL game played there last night.

Bush plotted 9/22? What happened on 9/22?

How many times did your mother drop you on your head? Seriously, do you have to practice to be this retarded, or is it a natural talent?

Where were Democrat Mayor Ray Nagin and Democrat Governor Kathleen Blanco, who were responsible for first response? The federal government was available, but their help, BY LAW, HAD TO BE REQUESTED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES

Nagin refused to use the readily available New Orleans public school busses for evacuation, demanding more comfortable Greyhound coaches instead, and many New Orleans citizens died as a direct result.

“I need 500 buses, man,” he told WWL. “One of the briefings we had they were talking about getting, you know, public school bus drivers to come down here and bus people out of here.”

Nagin described his response:

“I’m like—you’ve got to be kidding me. This is a natural disaster. Get every doggone Greyhound bus line in the country and get their asses moving to New Orleans.” How could he expect Greyhound to send their vehicles and drivers unless they were commandeered and deputized by the federal government, which would naturally send National Guard vehicles first. I suppose that troop carriers wouldn't have been satisfactory to Nagin either. Not comfortable enoough.

While Nagin was waiting for his Greyhound fleet, Katrina’s floodwaters swamped his school buses, rendering them unusable.

oh, you are so right, but if that was true you'd be dragged out of your home and executed for treasonous speech, but thankful we have this freedom of speech thing, sadly it gives you a baby way to attack people....So what your saying is the president has a hot line to mother nature (and your not in a white straight jacket, hm mm), he plotted 9/11 , oh yeah, that's bright, (not), There was proof by Saddam's own generals that WMD's were there and snuck out two months prior to the war.....but it wasn't Bush it was the house and senate and bush, he is not a king.....he was not alone, the democrats republicans voted for the war.....anyway, all politicians are liars and crooks not just one man.....get your mudslinging facts before you bash.....
